Hypnosis is a normal state of mind and one that we experience many times a day.
We experience hypnosis when watching a movie or television, when daydreaming, or in the transitional state of going to sleep or waking up. It is possible to experience the hypnotic state while reading or listening to music.
Brain Waves: Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta
While going into your session, if you feel uncomfortable or have a physical itch somewhere, scratch yourself. Simply allow your body to be relaxed so that you allow the subconscious to work effortlessly and easily.
Let go of all the mind chatter that is going on in your mind. the lease you try, the easier it becomes... so relax, enjoy and play with it.
Here is the process your mind will go through:
When you start out you're in a waking state totally active and your brain waves operate at a level called Beta.
As your mind relaxes and disconnects from the external material world - as when daydreaming, for instance, or when meditating, or watching a movie - you enter a more focused, expanded state of awareness where brain wave patterns are mainly composed of Alpha.
When relaxing even further, the mind enters a region that correlates with a large relative quantity of brain wave patterns of 4 to 7 cycles per second... this is Theta.
Delta is the next level of the mysterious universal mind. When operating at the level of Delta you are asleep and unconscious.
Sleeping (Delta) is not the goal while in hypnosis. Moving in and out of Alpha and Theta is the optimal state while in self-hypnosis.
How to practice using any of these Hypnotherapy Sessions
- Select a comfortable chair in which you are at ease.
- Remove or loosen any tight clothing such as neckties, belts, etc.
- Turn off radios, televisions, and turn off your cell phones. It is essential that you are not disturbed.
- If you have pets, it is best to put them in another room.
- Have both feet on the floor or on the footrest or hassock of your chair.
- Uncross your legs and arms.
Always expect great results and make it a habit to use this check list and listen daily to your session. It take 21 days to 6 weeks to change habits, attitudes and behaviors
